AIASF and the Center for Architecture + Design San Francisco present the “We the City” gallery exhibition. Featuring works by local artists: ALEXANDMUSHI, Amos Goldbaum, Thomas Heinser, David Irwin, Henrik Kam, Andrew Li, Yolanda Ramirez, Roland Record, Lance Rivers, Francesca Saveri, Yon Sim, Clark Thenhaus, Monica Tiulescu, and Mahsa Vanaki.

PERSPECTIVAS 19 is an exhibition which aims to showcase the work and talent of architects, urban planners, interior designers, artists, and related fields practicing in the San Francisco Bay Area and have a correlation with Latin America in some aspect of their profession. This year's exhibition represents the complexities of the city's urban fabric and landscape and shows examples of how architecture and other projects are addressing the challenges of cultural diversity. The exhibit is organized as part of Architecture + the City festival programs presented by AIA San Francisco and the Center for Architecture + Design, hosted by California College of the Arts.

Relationships, Representation & Resistance (RRR)
Evening presentation featuring Diego Ricalde

Diego Ricalde from Estudio MMX will discuss the historical, disciplinary and contemporary relationships that the work of the studio inhabits, reflecting upon the role of a design studio and the labor of an architect as agents of resistance who must constantly seek new narratives.
Alongside three other partners, Diego Ricalde currently leads Estudio MMX, working on conceptual ideas and projects that range from temporal interventions to public spaces as well as urban and regional design. All four partners routinely teach and lecture at various national and international universities. The multiple awards of Estudio MMX include The Architectural League Prize for Young Architects and Designers and the Design Vanguard Award. To commemorate the studio’s first decade of work, this year Estudio MMX published their monograph with a selection of 22 projects.
